Quote of the Week

"Posterity: you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it."

- John Quincy Adams

I think he'd be pretty disappointed with us, particularly if he was aware of the "Patriot Act".

Click on President Adams' picture for a brief biography.

Hi, PT
He'd probably roll over in his grave if he saw how far away from the Constitution we have strayed.

Thanks, Rory.

Glenda, you're right on the money with that comment.

What constitution? Didn't we toss that out with the color code for danger, the pack of cards of the most wanted and all that other old fashioned stuff?

We don't need no stinkin' constitution, we just make up the rules as we go and break the ones we don't like. Or so the bush and co. seem to think.

PoP, thanks for weighing in. I like your style - never hold any punches.

Thanks, Kat. You know after I posted it, I realized it was Cesar Chavez day and I smacked myself in the head thinking I should've done a quote from Chavez. Anyway, what's done is done. I like this quote a lot.
