Weekend Music Video

Believe it or not, I actually auditioned for this band when I was in high school....and obviously failed miserably as evidenced by the fact that I'm not anywhere in this video. The lead guitarist and drummer (who I believe was only around 15 yrs. old when this video was shot) are really good. From what I understand, this group is still playing, but not with the original line-up. Watch for the rhythm guitarist in the white Death Angel t-shirt. That's Gus. My wife and I graduated from high school with him.

I auditioned as bass player. Dennis, the guy playing bass in the video, was the singer when I tried out. He went to the same school as well, but one year behind me.

pt: I watched this four times--always looking for the drummer classmate in the white t-shirt--before I reread your directions. It was the guitarist! Boy, was my neck sore. Well, great sound. But I can see why they've had to replace some of the original members...no doubt now quadraplegics in neck braces and wheelchairs formerly owned by Stephen Hawking that they purchased on e-Bay. Thank god you didn't make the band!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the most important part: Had you joined the ban and eventually become quadraplegic, just think of all the great fwy signs tens of thousands of travellers would have missed!

I knew I could count on you to find the silver lining in the cloud, Dada.

Yeah, I have to concur with Dada. Thank god your high school self did not win out. Count your lucky stars.

OT, PT, but BTW: do you wear those berets that MUNI allows its employees to wear in uniform? Is that in part why you chose the Che image for your profile???

Inquiring minds want to know!

Teh - The mechanic uniform consists of a pair of drab blue coveralls with steel-toe boots. But , of course, I think your idea is fabulous. I'd love to be sporting a beret at work(for obvious reasons), but would prefer one with a red star rather than the MUNI worm logo. Thanks for the fashion idea.

Sumo - Why did you have to go drag the "cute" word out? LOL

Mary - Thank you. Just need to make sure I keep that testosterone focused for good instead of evil. With great power comes great responsibility, y'know.

Poetryman - You need to come over to my house right now and clean the tea off the computer screen that came flying out of my orifices when I read your comment. Too funny, dude.
