And Now For Something Completely Different...
Laird and Teahupo'o
Great video of pro surfer Laird Hamilton and friends at Teahupo'o (pronounced Cho-poo), a world-renowned surf-break on the south-east coast of Tahiti. This is an unbelievably powerful reef break. Heavy waves combined with a very shallow shoreline can mean serious injury or even death if you don't make it out of that tube. Enjoy.

Haveyou ever gottent o watch footage that the surfers shoot from INSIDE the pipeline?? TRUELY amazing.... I can lay down on a surfboard without falling off hehehehe Course thats cause I believe in Jaws and I am TERRIFIED to stick any limb into the water for a long period of time LMAO
a way I'll never be...
I'm not terrified of Jaws but then I've never been surfing... :>)
wow...great minds do think alike ;-)
great video.....
Never surfed and lived in Florida almost all my life. I'm not afraid of the sharks, more afraid of getting bonked in the head by a loose surf board. Having said that, I love watching surfers.
I blame my mother... isn't it ALWAYS the mother LOL When I was little and on the swim team, she used to yell out "QUICK Jaws is comeing swim faster!!!" so I KNOW it's her fault LOL
There's as not much danger of sharks as people think there is. As PoP alluded to, you're far more likely to die from drowning while surfing than suffering a shark attack. Not that that's any consolation.
GREAT now I am gonna be TWICE a s paranoid... Sharks AND Drowning... GEES PT and PoP scare me why don't ya HAHAHAHA
