Cheney accidentally shoots hunting companion

Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally wounded a companion with shotgun pellets on a weekend quail hunt in Texas, his office said on Sunday.
Cheney's companion, Austin lawyer Harry Whittington, 78, was listed in stable condition after being brought in on Saturday night, said Yvonne Wheeler, a spokeswoman for the Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
I couldn't in my wildest dreams have even contrived a story funnier than this one. By the way, I spoke with the surgeon who removed the buckshot from Mr. Whittington's face and he informed me that his job would have been far less complicated if the Vice-President hadn't tried to de-feather and field dress the lawyer after shooting him.

HI HO! I'm not saying that Cheney is powerful, but today the lawyer apologized to Cheney and his family for getting shot!

What will they think of next, that they outing Plame was just fine? I mean that would just be crazy. The woman was under cover looking for IRANian nukes. Who would do that on purpose?
