Vote Different

1984

Full story on the guy behind the creation of this video and his connection to the Barack Obama campaign can be found here. Hat tip to Kommander Kvatch for prompting me to dig a little deeper on this one.

Definitely hoping Hillary doesn't get the nomination, or McCain for that matter, what we need is a person of the people.

Hillary is definitely same ol' same ol'. I sure hope we don't get stuck with her and people do wake up. I understand it was a friend of Obama's spokesperson who made the movie. He's getting lots of flak, but I doubt he minds as he should get lots of job offers from this.

I still prefer Russ Feingold or Al Gore, but Obama's okay in my book, too.

Lew,
I'm in full agreement with you there.

Mary,
Yes, I think his future looks pretty bright. Very clever what he did with that apple ad.

John,
I'm with you on Feingold. Not a fan of Al Gore as president, though. He discovered his backbone a little too late in the game for my taste. I don't want a pesident who's as quick to throw in the towel as Gore was back in 2000. I love what he's doing on the environmental front, but "President Gore"? No thanks.

I read that the guy was actually associated with the campaign.

Correct, Froggy. To be specific, he was contracted by the Obama campaign.

Thanks, Kvatch.

PT, "...contracted by the Obama campaign," you say? Now that I had not heard.

OK, I see from the link he was on contract to the campaign but not for that piece of work.

One wonders if he considered how that video might damage the Obama campaign before he created it? Probably not, but it's really not a stretch. Nobody can remain anonymous for very long these days.

True.

Anonimity is so passé, anyway. What's needed is more blognonimity.

Russ Feingold...

THESE OUR DISTENDED DAYS

These, my friends, our distended days;
Torture, riot, bomb and inhumanity puff up
Uttering decrees in this, our propelled rage,
Thrusting the future forward out abysmal rot.
We must grasp hold this, bent nor awkward,
Marked with prints from haunted child
Skulking hordes of maddened youth!
Take heed!
Dry their eyes on your fabric of hope
And lyric.
Display no shaded hope or lose rhythm.
Rise up!
Rise up!
Rise up!
These melting days attend not a cowed voice
Of uneasiness or pattering along the dark schism.
Our battle moves on, spirals upward, and out.
Let us not dally time through jingoistic's prism,
Rather hear the orator beseech sanity!
Hear him!
It is time to act! It is now! It is ready!
