USA is STILL #1 !

...at killing Americans. We've now sent more Americans to their deaths than were killed on 9/11. Congratulations!

Military deaths in Iraq exceed 9/11 toll
By LARRY McSHANE, Associated Press Writer

In a span of a few hours, 2,973 people were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. In a span of 45 months, the number of American troops killed in Iraq exceeded that grim toll as the war continues.

The milestone in Iraq came on Christmas, nearly four years after the war began, according to a count by The Associated Press. In announcing the Monday deaths of three soldiers, the toll from those fighting the war surpassed the toll from those killed by terrorists in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

Looks like it's time to make more signs in my "War Against Stupidity"...

I think Bush is one of those suiciders he talks about only he arranges others to take his place just like his Guard days.

Wow
It's great to see that not all Americans are blind ignorants. Someone cares! someone sees a bit further than the rest! Just one thing... who's responsible for putting Bush in power every fuckin time? over and over again. They never learn. In Spain, even the oldest grannies who'd voted Aznar for their whole bloody lives stopped voting him after he teamed up with Bush and Blair and made us take part in the Iraq war! what Americans need to do is to shoot Bush, not vote him. America... with its international terror policies... once the greatest, the biggest, and the most powerful. Who didn't want to be part of it all? and now... the most shameful, the biggest threat in the world, once who can no longer afford to dance alone... one who won't stop killing until US dollars are worth less than Indian rupees. Get rid of BUSH and make the WORLD free!

Yeah, one of the standard wingnut arguments (somehow) in favor of the Operation Iraq Annexation has been that "MORE PEOPLE DIED ON 9/11! NEVER FORGET!! GET A BRIAN, MORANS!!@!!" I think we'll see this one retired shortly...

Frederick,
People will look back on this time in history and scratch their heads in puzzlement.

Mary,
He should be handed a gun and sent into Iraq to lead his troops like a true military commander.

Eve,
Thank you for your comment and for visiting here at PTCruiser. If you'll take a moment to visit the blogs listed over there to the right, you'll see that there are actually many of us Americans who are not blind and ignorant. We feel the same pain, anger and outrage that you're feeling. Sadly, there aren't enough of us to keep a dangerous, war-mongering psychopath out of office. For now, we're hoping that the sheep who live in this country will eventually wake up out of their collective coma and see things the way we and people throughout the world see them.

Teh,
They're working on ideas as to how they can spin this in their favor right now, as we speak. Sick.

John,
I fear you may be right. They may NEVER get it.

Oh...what a tangled web the Dub and his co-whores weave...when they practice to deceive. If we are lucky...their rapture will take them soon and leave us to our own devices...and then world shall heave a sigh of collective relief.

I remember back not long after this war was started Cheney was on tv, I believe it was Meet the Press. He was asked about the number of our soldiers who had been killed by that time. Cheney responded with something like, keep in mind that three thousand people were killed on 9-11. I remember yelling curse words at the tv and yelling, WTF does that have to do with this f'en war?

Ah yes, another El Shrubbo milestone to add to the other milestones. Chimpy will certainly be remembered-that's for sure.

Unfortunately for future Bushes, it won't be a kind rememberance.

Peter,
I haven't been doing much freewayblogging lately. Time for me to get re-focused. This kind of thing helps with that.

Sumo,
I'm ready for that collective sigh.

PoP,
Did he do the thing where his eyes roll back into his head to reveal dollar bills in his eye sockets? I love it when he does that.

Jollyroger,
Welcome and thanks for commenting. I'm looking forward to the opening of the Bush library, complete with the "Hall of Shame" Wing. That wing should comprise about 99% of the library. The other 1% will, of course, be reserved for a signed copy of "My Pet Goat".

Donnie,
You mean the bone that he hangs the tail off of?

AZ,
We certainly can dream. It's got to happen eventually. Peace to you as well.

HCG,
Welcome. It's always good to set high goals. It's even better when you have someone a little less psychotic than GW setting them.

Sign on my friend! Sign on! The sad thing about it is that in the first sixteen hours of the "occupation" of Iraq more people died than on 9/11. What number is the endgame?

Eve, I've been listening to an audio book of Noam Chomsky's "Hegemony or Survival", and in it he mentions how something like 90% of the rest of the world is afraid of the United States... I can't begin to tell people from other countries how embarrassing that is to me, as an American citizen. So many of us Americans only want a peaceful world, where people "live and let live", but idiots like the neoconservatives have screwed things up so badly re. the way the rest of the world views our nation.

A bumper sticker I have: "49% of America agrees with 99% of the rest of the world."

I think that now it might be more like 60% of America agrees with 90% of the rest of the world. More of us are waking up and smelling the bad-smelling stuff in the White House. I hope for the sake of the world that it isn't too late.

Keep it up with those signs, PT!!
